RiNo Rebuild
A rare example of a frame house dating to the late 1800s in the 5-Points neighborhood of Denver, this house required extensive rebuilding and restoration of the frame structure and exterior. After restoring the structural integrity of the house, we were left with a blank slate on all fronts. An updated, modern floor plan was implemented with interiors designed almost exclusively around baltic birch plywood, an inexpensive yet flexible and beautiful natural material. The exterior is the inverse of the interior, with dark, shou-sugi bahn treated cedar siding. The scope of this project covered everything from foundation work and structural framing, to MEP, windows, exterior siding, roofing and interior finish carpentry. A complete re-build.
